Introduction to Robotics with Cubelets
Class Three
Students will review the Cubelets robotics system, and will collaborate, experiment, and build robots of their own design that can complete specific challenges using the power, distance, drive, passive, rotate, brightness, inverse, speaker, bar graph, knob, and light Cubelets. As the design team did last week, they will take notes to describe what they tried, what worked, and what didn't.
We will also discuss and, if possible, experiment with the Bluetooth Cubelet and iOS app, which will allow the teams to build an autonomous robot that can also be controlled through human input.
Students will also review and answer the following questions:
What is a machine?
What is a robot?
What does "autonomous" mean?
Are all robots machines?
Are all machines robots?
What three things does a robot need to do autonomously?
